‘Faces and Places’ presents the work of two artists whose practices are separate in direction and style, yet connected through shared themes of memory, narrative, and lived experience.

One body of work focuses on the human figure and landscape exploring emotion, personal memory, and inner narratives shaped by reflection and identity.

The second body of work centres on textured, narrative landscapes that celebrate connection to place. Drawing from everyday Australia, these works honour the layered stories of old Queenslanders and familiar environments, revealing land as a quiet witness to history, community, and time.

Together, Faces and Places offers parallel explorations of the human experience, one inward and emotional, the other grounded in place, inviting viewers to consider how emotion, memories and stories of land exist independently, yet resonate alongside one another.
