LONG PAVILION

A series of modern open plan spaces have been formed with the cascading grandstand and oval, a dynamic linking element. The flexible public spaces allow for a multitude of arrangements with large openings providing seamless connections from the indoors to outdoors, inviting the expansive views and the eucalypts into all the public areas. The dynamic polycarbonate screen panels provide privacy whilst bringing reflectivity, light, colour and texture into their adjacent spaces.

  • The harmonious balance between nature and architecture comes together in the Long Pavilion, the house’s focal point. Cool breezes flow through an expansive open framework of timber and polished concrete, creating a romantic mood for relaxing and dining. Eyes are drawn to the surrounding forest oval and grandstand edging the room's length. Filtered light from the skylights and battened screens demarcate the separate bedroom wings.
