CONNIE WATERFRONT

The design language and approach for ‘Connie Waterfront’ is inspired by the character of the local waterways; the new rainforest garden, as well as capturing the dramatic views of the Gold Coast skyline. The house is filled with the colour, light, sound, breezes and the scent of the adjacent water and rainforest. The natural texture of the stone, the reflections of the water, and the warmth of the timber all help inform the design of a considered calm retreat.

  • Holiday houses have developed a distinctive vernacular, a relaxed design approach. This approach has been reflected throughout with the use of understated natural materials and the invitation of light into the residence with louvres, skylights and generous openings.

The harmonious balance between nature and architecture comes together in the Long Pavilion; the house’s focal point. Cool breezes flow through an expansive open framework of timber, stone, and traditional basket downlights creating a romantic mood for relaxing and dining.
